Journeyman Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform journeyman-level maintenance on manufacturing equipment including metal die casing, plastic molding, CNC machines, HVAC, and production fixtures. Install, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and wire electrical systems for plastic molds while maintaining and inspecting fire sprinkler, compressed air, and gas heating systems. Operate and repair forklifts, set up shop equipment to close tolerances, and conduct safety checks on all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Sweep work areas and assist other maintenance personnel while adhering to Quality Manual Standards. Requires Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrical License, 2-4 years industrial experience, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years journeyman maintenance experience, including industrial experience in electrical maintenance and repair
- Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrical License, or greater
- EPA Universal Technician Certification (refrigeration)
- Knowledge of PLC systems and ability to program PLCs
- Knowledge of CNC systems
- Ability to obtain a Forklift License and an aerial work platform (scissor/boom) license
- Physical ability to bend, lift, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl throughout the work shift
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Natural or corrected near vision
- Color vision
- Ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and walk
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to occasionally climb, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Must be able to be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and chemicals
- Must be able to be occasionally exposed to cold and heat and wet or humid conditions
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels
- Must be able to wear proper footwear, safety glasses and hearing protection
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (including cannabis)
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial experience in electrical maintenance and repair
