Job Summary
Conduct power line installation, maintenance, and service work for electric and gas distribution systems, including troubleshooting outages and operating heavy equipment like trenchers and bucket trucks. Perform sustained work at heights for pole climbing, ladder work, and substation maintenance while executing rubber gloving procedures for high-voltage lines. Lead projects as a leadsman or foreman by overseeing safety, planning, documentation, and coordinating with engineers. Respond to emergency situations and after-hours calls for gas distribution and LNG facility operations, including tree limb removal and PCB cleanup. Maintain a safe work record and adhere to all company safety standards and OSHA protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman Lineman Certification
- Valid Commercial driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Bucket truck and pole top rescue certification
- Complete NorthWestern Energy Gas OQ and HAZMAT programs within 6 months of hire
- Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Act as a leadsman or foreman as needed
- Adapt to technological changes as they are implemented

- You must agree to have your permanent residence within the greater West Yellowstone area as approved by the company that allows for adequate response to our customers in call out and emergency situations
- Individually lift and manipulate needed equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

- Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus
