Job Summary
Journeyman Lineman I at Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) and BEC Fiber. Leads and mentors construction crews, trains Apprentices, and ensures safe, efficient maintenance and repair of electric distribution infrastructure under supervision. Must complete Lineman Progression Program to achieve Department of Labor certification. Requires proficiency with electrical systems and line-work tools, the ability to train staff, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Physical ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions; CDL A and First Aid/CPR and rescue certifications are required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Pole Top Rescue Certification
- Bucket Rescue Certification
- CDL Class A
- 5-10 years of experience in electric line construction and maintenance
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and Related Insurance
- Must pass background, drug screening and physical
