Job Summary
Apply industrial insulation materials including calcium silicate, mineral wool, fiberglass, cellular glass, and aerogel to hot or cold surfaces. Read blueprints and isometric drawings to determine layouts and material requirements for valves, flanges, pumps, and irregular geometries. Measure, cut, and install protective jacketing using aluminum, stainless steel, or PVC while securing materials with wire, bands, and specialized mastics. Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts while adhering to mandatory PPE and daily hazard assessments. Requires 3–5 years of experience in refineries or power plants, valid driver's license, and fluency in English. Monday through Friday 10-hour shifts with hourly pay of $23.00–$25.00 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Industrial Mechanical Insulation / Metal & Cladding (refineries, power plants, or chemical facilities)
- Deep understanding of industrial insulation types, temperature ratings, and application techniques
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work in tight or elevated spaces under varying weather conditions
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite
- Must speak fluent English
