Job Summary
Journeyman HVAC Service Technician needed to travel to job sites in the Quad Cities area to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, handling emergency after-hours on a rotating basis, maintaining the company vehicle and equipment, managing stock and tools, generating customer invoices at the job site, processing payments electronically, documenting installed equipment, diagnosing issues, replacing parts, calibrating systems per manufacturer specs, and communicating findings to customers. Opportunities for training, emphasis on safe work practices, and a hands-on role with ownership culture through an ESOP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5-10 years' experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC service issues
- Iowa State HVAC license or ability to obtain within 12 months
- EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required
- Driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds
- Ability to travel to job sites in service area
- Knowledge of safety standards and customer service
