Job Summary
HVAC Service Technician responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and completing electronic and mechanical repairs of residential HVAC equipment and water heaters. Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; assist in sealed systems and water heater repair as part of training; provide exceptional customer service and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to homeowners; complete service tickets, time logs, and material usage documentation; be on-call for emergencies; maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment; adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of work experience, or a combination of work and accredited trade or vocational training equaling 5 years, in basic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning service
- All required State licensing
- Valid EPA-608 Technician Certification, Type 2 or higher
- Advanced knowledge of the tools and materials related to the service field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Advanced skills in servicing gas and electric water heaters
- Advanced skills in sales with the ability to recommend and promote all services offered by the company
- Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
- Ability to work weekends and overtime
