Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, service, and repairs on heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Install new units or replacement parts per specifications and utilize mechanical and electrical skills to test, diagnose HVAC faults, and execute proper repairs. Ensure all work sites are safe and properly cleaned at the end of each shift while maintaining compliance with state, local, and federal requirements. Adhere to company, customer, and industry safety standards, including on-call rotation for afterhours service calls or projects. Gather material pricing from vendors to expedite quoting and prioritize customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Kentucky Journeyman HVAC License
- Universal EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- 4–10 years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks within critical deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable company policies and industry regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge on a variety of commercial HVAC equipment, including but not limited to split systems, package units, chilled water systems, boilers and DDC controls
- Commercial refrigeration experience
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in HVAC troubleshooting, technical diagnostics, and repair
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Basic mathematical skills
