Job Summary
Journeyman HVAC/R Technician responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation and dismantling of central HVAC/refrigeration systems. Travel to True North locations (e.g., Eureka, Nunavut) for deployments up to 4 weeks; overtime after hours and weekends may be required. Role includes planning material needs, coordinating deliveries, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, and environmental requirements, and collaborating with team to execute new work or projects. Red Seal certification and strong field/installation experience are required; valid Class 5 license and ability to pass background/government security checks. Uniforms and PPE provided; logistics for remote assignments arranged by ATCO.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal) is required
- Must have a strong construction background, with hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, and field execution
- Must be willing and able to travel to True North locations, including but not limited to Eureka, Nunavut. Deployment may be required for continuous stretches of up to 4 weeks.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check and obtain Government Security Clearance.
- Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
- Residential and commercial experience an asset
- Willing and able to travel
