Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain class 5 through class 8 trucks and trailers, including inspections, brake and suspension diagnostics, drive-train work, engine repairs, A/C service, electrical systems, welding and fabrication, field breakdown responses, and customer-facing service. Utilize diagnostic tools, scanners, and wiring diagrams; document labor hours and parts; maintain safe work practices and adherence to OSHA standards; operate a forklift as needed; perform occasional facility maintenance; and collaborate with team leads to complete tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or combination of school and experience
- Must have the skill level to diagnose, begin a job and see it through to completion with minimal guidance
- Provide own hand and air tools and storage for same
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record required; CDL preferred but not required
- Pass a criminal history background screen as required by our customer base
- Be able to lift and install all parts required to perform the job including heavier parts such as brake drums, tires, flywheels, clutches, starters, suspension spring packs, etc.
