Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician supporting Task Force SAFE, providing electrical inspection, repair, installation, maintenance, and construction expertise across CENTCOM AOR facilities. Responsibilities include inspecting for Life, Health and Safety deficiencies per NEC/BS7671 standards, re-inspections, reporting to TF SAFE Office, and performing repairs of imminent deficiencies. The role involves working in a two-member team (or two master electricians) with a team leader, site work across thousands of facilities within CENTCOM AOR, and compliance with security, medical, and background requirements. Lodging is provided within CENTCOM AOR; expect a demanding schedule (six days a week, twelve hours per day) with extended weekly hours (72) and one-year deployment term.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman electrician license in the US (state/municipality requiring a test)
- Valid US passport
- Ability to work in CENTCOM AOR with lodging and security clearance
- US Secret Security Clearance eligibility
- Pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word)
- 2+ years of Journeyman Electrician experience
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70-2008, UFC 3-520-01, BS7671 17th edition (50 Hz)
