Job Summary

Lead a crew under a Master Electrician to supervise the installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites within the RGV. Read and interpret blueprints to plan and layout systems, utilizing hand tools safely for building and maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot electrical issues with diagnostic equipment and ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and the National Electric Code. Coordinate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time while maintaining detailed documentation. This role requires a current TDLR Journeyman License and at least two years of commercial electrical experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current TDLR Journeyman license to apply for this position

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid TDLR Journeyman License
  • Must be able to work from a position of Safety First Always
  • Must be able to utilize all safety equipment and training provided to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
  • Must be able to work on commercial work sites
  • Must be able to lead a crew under the guidance of a Master Electrician
  • Must be able to supervise the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems

  • Must be able to read & interpret blueprints to plan & layout electrical systems
  • Must be able to utilize hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to building and maintaining electrical systems
  • Must be able to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes during all electrical work
  • Must be able to coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors for seamless project integration and completion of projects on time
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment
  • Must be able to maintain detailed documentation for future reference
  • Must be able to perform other project related duties assigned by General Contractor or other senior Electrician
  • Must have proficiency in blueprint reading and a solid understanding of electrical principles and concepts per the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with the ability to work on high voltage installations and renovations
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must be able to work in the RGV
  • Must be able to work home every night

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 2 years Commercial Electrical Experience preferred
