Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during residential and commercial service calls while identifying potential problems to prevent breakdowns. Maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components by inspecting breakers, fuses, and circuits, then interpreting drawings and blueprints to determine layout requirements and procedures. Measure, cut, and install wiring, assemble light fixtures and alarm systems, and locate installation positions within structures. Submit accurate paperwork and maintain documentation of service calls and time management. Work extended hours, nights, or weekends under stressful conditions, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and performing physical tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and may be exposed to verbal and/or physical confrontations
- Must be able to work extended hours, nights or weekends
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
- Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
