Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician needed to lead a crew of 3 solar technicians on commercial solar installations (50kW+) across the Midwest/Mountain Region. Responsibilities include installing and supervising AC/DC electrical systems (inverters, combiners, disconnects, switchgear, transformers), conduit installations and terminations, grounding, testing, commissioning, and quality-control documentation; overseeing ground-mount racking, piers/helical piles, and structural components; interpreting drawings to ensure NEC/local code compliance; serving as the licensed electrical authority on site and coordinating inspections; enforcing OSHA safety standards and maintaining site organization and productivity. Travel is required year-round (Sioux Falls base), with a company-provided vehicle and per-diem; benefits include health coverage, retirement bonuses, paid holidays, and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel for 90% of the year
- Journeyman or lineman electrical licensed preferred
- Ability to obtain a CDL
- Able to pass drug test
- Lifts at least 75 pounds
- Works at heights up to 300’ and climbs ladders/scaffolds/aerial lifts/towers
- Proof of current Journeyman Electrician certification
