Job Summary
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and project specifications while troubleshooting existing systems and planning new branch circuitry. Lay out and install PVC, EMT, and galvanized steel conduit systems, then install, replace, and repair distribution equipment including switchboards and panelboards. Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and safely operate hand and power tools to repair wiring or fixtures. Mentor Apprentices by sharing trade knowledge and supporting their growth in a team-oriented environment. Work a 4-day week with 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with occasional travel and weekend availability. Requires a Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician Certificate, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician Certificate
- Experience in commercial and industrial environments
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel within the province and occasionally outside the region
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
