Job Summary
Union Journeyman Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures across commercial, industrial, and residential settings in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs; diagnose and resolve wiring and component issues; ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes; read blueprints and schematics to guide work; follow safety protocols including PPE and lockout/tagout; collaborate with team members, contractors, and project managers; maintain accurate work records; stay current with advancements through continuing education; requires completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent hours and strong knowledge of electrical codes.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or union training program (OR) 12,000 hours worked in the Electrical field OR 8,000 hours worked and 500 - 1000 classroom hours completed
- Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations
- Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Technical Aptitude
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
