Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician needed to install and maintain electrical infrastructure for manufacturing lines and equipment. Responsibilities include executing wiring plans for lighting, HVAC controls and power, installing electrical apparatus and equipment for alarm systems, connecting wiring in circuits and networks, assembling conduits, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting hazards or malfunctions to OEM standards, maintaining a 4160-volt distribution system, and supporting controls teams. The role requires read-and-interpretation of control schematics and one-line diagrams, ability to install various raceways, willingness to work overtime and weekends, and possession of a Wisconsin Journeyman license or imminent attainment, with completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship or equivalent. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems and installations
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, the NEC, NFPA 70E, and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent physical condition; lift 50 pounds and not afraid of heights
- Willing to work weekends and long shifts
- Ability to install a variety of raceways including conduit, wire way, and cable tray
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, drives, motor starters, panel boards, and switch gear
- Read control schematics and one-line diagrams
- Willing to cross train and help mechanics or projects team members
- Own a Wisconsin Journeyman license or be close to getting one
- Completed an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent
