Job Summary
Assemble solar array racking, seal roof penetrations, and install equipment for residential projects. Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, connect to the main service panel, and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems. Complete projects within established policies, time frames, and budgets while ensuring crew safety and quality control. Document proper paperwork for each job and communicate professionally with customers regarding questions or complaints. Requires reading blueprints, using diagnostic equipment, and working at heights outdoors as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed - Completion of a formal apprenticeship and proof of valid electrician's license
- Must be enrolled in a trade apprenticeship
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
- Must be able to work at great heights
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
