Job Summary
Conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep plant and equipment functional for food processing and farm operations. Diagnose equipment malfunctions, execute repairs, and replace faulty parts while reading manuals and work orders. Prepare machinery for scheduled production runs and provide emergency repairs during harvest shifts. Detect defective material, report unusual situations to supervisors, and perform routine troubleshooting across all shifts. Maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the role.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of verifiable experience
- Oregon plant journeyman electrical or general journeyman license required
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills required
- Flexibility on work schedule to meet requirements of harvest
- Ability to operate independently within defined parameters with little or no supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Additional degrees or certifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
- PLC and food processing experience a plus
- NH3 refrigeration experience desirable but not required
