Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician needed to troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial aggregates equipment environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions in PLCs, drives, VFDs, switch gear, sensors and test equipment; planning and applying electrical/electronic and mechanical principles; ensuring safe operation per OSHA requirements; advising operators on safe procedures; maintaining maintenance records; performing preventive maintenance; assisting and training other maintenance staff; and willingness to travel for field service. Must hold MN Electrician License, have two years of Journeyman experience, be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, and be capable of lifting and performing physically demanding tasks. Strong safety mindset and ability to communicate with personnel at all levels are required; overtime and varying shifts are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- two years of formal technical training
- valid MN Electrician License
- two years Journeyman experience in installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures
- 1-2 years experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields
- ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment
- high degree of precision
- willing to travel with possible overnight field service work
- ability to climb in overhead structures and work in close quarters
- safety-conscious
- good communication with operators and team members
