Job Summary
Lead and perform installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Proficient in troubleshooting and proactively solving electrical systems. Reads and interprets electrical construction drawings, terminates cables, and installs control wiring from schematics. Supervises and trains Helpers and Apprentices in proper work practices to meet production requirements. Ensures safety compliance with OSHA/lock out tag out procedures, NEC codes, and trench safety. Able to install conduit, bend conduit with knowledge of conduit bending degrees, perform terminations up to 600 volts, and conduct routine safety inspections. Works in diverse environments, from confined spaces to elevated work platforms, and collaborates effectively with team members to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency
- Accredited Apprenticeship Program completion or six years on the job electrical experience required
- Journeyman License requirement in states, locales, or projects, as required
- Certified to operate platform and boom lifts, or able to obtain certification upon hire
- Reads and understands labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions
- Possesses knowledge of blueprints, shop drawings, ladder logic diagrams
- Understands and complies with NEC, state, and local codes
- Understand basic math and can properly read tape measure
- Able to add, subtract, divide, multiply, and accurately use electrical formulas
- Leads and assists in all types of wire pulls (i.e. conduit, cable tray, floor ducts, wire way, etc.)
- Demonstrates and exhibits proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials
