Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings while ensuring compliance with NEC standards. Read blueprints and schematics to determine electrical layouts, then utilize hand and power tools for wiring, circuit installation, and troubleshooting. Conduct diagnostic tests using voltmeters to verify system functionality and perform both low and high voltage installations. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion and maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety protocols. Provide guidance and support to apprentices as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the commercial sector
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other relevant equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with frame carpentry
- Experience working with both low voltage and high voltage systems
