Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings in accordance with NEC standards. Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine layouts; use hand and power tools for wiring and circuit installation; perform tests with voltmeters to ensure functionality; collaborate with other trades on construction sites; perform both low and high voltage installations; maintain safety and organization on site; mentor apprentices as needed. Requires knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices; able to work independently or as part of a fast-paced construction team.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the commercial sector
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other relevant equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with both low voltage and high voltage installations is preferred
