Job Summary
Install, alter, and repair electrical systems, conductors, and equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial sites while directing less experienced apprentices. Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics to terminate cables, install switchgear, and troubleshoot control wiring. Perform feeder and branch circuit calculations, bend conduit by hand, and operate power tools, trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks safely. Comply with OSHA, DKD, and general contractor safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures, while lifting 51 lbs and working at heights up to 90 feet. Report to assigned job sites on time, wear required PPE, and work 8–10 hour shifts, including night work and overtime as needed. Requires a Journeyman License or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman License or equivalent work experience
- High School graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience
- Must have EE98J NM License
- Must be able to lift by oneself workloads of 51 lbs
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
- Possess good vision/hearing
- Ability to work 8 or 10 hours per day, night shift, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required with little or on short notice
- Must wear personal protective equipment at all times
- Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities
- Must be able to report to assigned Job site location on time as directed
- Ability to install all sizes of conduit
- Ability to install switchgear and its terminations
- Must be able to accurately make feeder and branch circuit calculations
- Must be able to safely use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and KO punches
