Job Summary
Operate, maintain, repair, and install electrical equipment and systems in the hospital, including primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centers, and branch circuit breaker panels. Perform corrective and preventative work orders to ensure proper operation of the electrical distribution system. Install and repair lighting, low voltage devices, clocks, timers, intercoms, nurse call systems, and dietary equipment. Maintain required supplies and tools in an orderly fashion, filling out daily time sheets and material request forms. Perform duties under general direction of the Director/Manager of Plant Operations in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of documented work experience in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical utility production and distribution systems in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility
- LIC-Electrical Journeyman License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
- Performing the above duties on low and medium voltage distribution, motor control centers, etc.
