Job Summary
Interpret plans, specifications, and work instructions to complete electrical installations, including panels, lighting, generators, conduit, and wiring assemblies. Perform skilled fabrication, layout, repair, and maintenance tasks while ensuring work complies with design specifications, building codes, and company standards. Provide instruction and guidance to trainees or apprentices to promote safe work practices and skill development. Collaborate with general contractors and other trades to ensure efficient project completion. Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in an organized, safe, and serviceable condition. This role requires reading blueprints, understanding trade math, and familiarity with switchgear, transformers, and lighting controls. You must lift materials up to 50 pounds frequently and hold a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years commercial electrical experience on Healthcare project
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents
- Strong understanding of Electrical systems and applicable codes
- Proficient in trade math
- Proficient in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of job site safety standards and commitment to following all company safety policies
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and clients
- Understand multiple types of conduit and wiring systems
- Knowledge lighting and lighting controls
- Knowledge of switchgear, panel, transformer, ATS and generator installation
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Commitment to use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when performing in the role
- Drug-free workplace compliance
