Job Summary
Maintain, renovate, and repair the district's electrical systems and equipment under the direction of the Lead Electrician and Crafts Manager. Perform preventative maintenance on panels, disconnects, switch gear, motors, ventilators, emergency lighting, and fire alarms while troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems for water heaters, HVAC units, and exhaust fans. Read blueprints, interpret diagrams, and prepare recommendations for layout and design of renovation projects. Coordinate scheduling through the daily work order system and communicate effectively with Architects, Engineers, and Contractors. Requires a current journeyman's or master's license, five years of experience, and ability to lift up to 90 lbs. Work involves continuous standing, climbing, and exposure to inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial electrical systems
- Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and national codes and regulations
- Current journeyman's or master's license
- Maintain current/valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate, orally and in writing with others
- Must be physically and medically able to wear respiratory protective equipment
- Bending, lifting up to 90 lbs.
