Job Summary
Respond to trouble calls on industrial equipment by performing moderate to complex electrical and electronic repairs, installations, and adjustments on printing, laminating, and slitting machinery. Analyze error messages and technical documentation to diagnose problems, then coordinate with mechanics and operators to minimize downtime. Execute predictive and preventive maintenance while troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and control systems within the CMMS. Maintain accurate records, ensure a clean and safe work environment, and suggest ideas for continuous improvement. This role supports ProAmpac's global flexible packaging manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an electrical license issued by the State of Michigan or Township
- Experience 2 to 4 years in a manufacturing environment with the same or similar equipment, components
- Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and industrial electrical equipment & methods
- Understanding of PLC Operation and Wiring
- Advanced knowledge of solid-state components, their uses and theory
- Documented experience with electronic board trouble-shooting and repair, AC/DC drive troubleshooting and repair and preventative maintenance of industrial electrical/electronic equipment
- Control wiring Troubleshooting Skills
- Ability to use testing equipment related to industrial electronics
- Ability to work with Oscilloscope and navigate Panel Views
- Frequency Drive Knowledge
- Must be available for 2nd shift (3pm – 11am) or 3rd shift (11pm – 7am)
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime including some weekends
