Job Summary
Conduct precise epoxy grouting of equipment baseplates and foundations, including surface preparation, complex formwork construction, mixing to correct ratios, and achieving tight tolerances. Construct and install site-specific formwork for foundations and structural supports using precision measurement tools like levels and lasers. Complete grout documentation by tracking batch numbers, ambient temperatures, and pouring logs for QC turnover. Assist with rigging, material handling, and site-prep tasks while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to all HSE requirements. Report daily time and material information and quality records to your supervisor. This role offers competitive wages, travel support, and steady work across industrial installation projects.
Required Qualifications
- Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter or equivalent
- proven experience in industrial settings
- Hands-on epoxy grout experience: surface preparation, construction of complex formwork, mixing to correct ratios, placement, and detailed QC documentation
- Proficient in industrial system formwork (e.g., Doka, Peri) and site-specific formwork for foundations and equipment baseplates
- Competent in rigging, material handling, and the safe use of precision measuring tools (levels, lasers, squares)
- Current safety certifications (Confined Space, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP, and GD2)
- ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in concrete placement and finishing
- Experience in turnaround/shutdown, oil & gas, or heavy industrial/mining environments
- able to read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints
