Job Summary
Industrial Journeyman Millwright needed at Smurfit WestRock's Battle Creek, MI Paper Mill. Responsibilities include participating in the safety program, maintaining mechanical components and performing machine alignment, fabricating parts and equipment, performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment, and troubleshooting/repairing motors, drives, couplings, bearings, seals, and related components. Strong emphasis on safety, effective cross-department communication, timely response to emergency machine breakdowns, and ability to work with minimal supervision within a team; overtime and shift work required. Must possess excellent attention to detail and quality, and be able to operate within a safety-conscious environment. Drug screening is required after conditional offer.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Millwright or Machinist card
- OSHA 300 certified
- Able to perform at heights, in confined space, lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to work shift
- JDE or other work order systems knowledge
