Job Summary
Resolve problems of moderate scope using standard solutions and independently plan work under general direction. Provide technical expertise by conducting engineering analyses, studies, and developing conceptual designs while presenting findings to internal teams, contractors, and vendors. Perform walkdowns and design review meetings, preparing technical documents including design criteria, scope documents, specifications, and reports. Develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative project proposals, soliciting, preparing, and evaluating contracts from engineering consultants. Interpret applicable codes and regulations, participate in developing restoration plans, and assist in root cause analysis. Approve reports, new drawings, and revisions to existing drawings, responding promptly to facility failures in emergencies. Represent the utility to government bodies for assigned projects. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited US curriculum or equivalent from outside the US
- 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical transmission line engineering for 115kv–500kv
- Strong familiarity with GO 95, NESC, and transmission line standards and construction practices
- Strong familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.
- Skills in project management
