Job Summary
Validate journal voucher logic, USSGL mappings, and budgetary alignment across source systems, staging outputs, and reporting layers to ensure transaction accuracy. Review interfaces and remediation results to confirm posting logic produces expected accounting outcomes, then reconcile trial balances and key figures across OneStream and target reports. Identify defects in incorrect postings, broken logic, or invalid mappings, trace root causes, and coordinate corrections with functional and technical teams while confirming federal accounting attributes are preserved. Support SIT, UAT, and pre-cutover testing for journal generation and downstream reporting, then assist during hyper care to stabilize processes. Maintain comprehensive documentation for reconciliations, exception logs, and sign-offs to support auditability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years of experience
- Experience supporting federal financial management
- Experience supporting USSGL-based accounting
- Experience supporting journal voucher processing
- Experience supporting financial system implementations
- Strong understanding of budgetary and proprietary accounting
- Strong understanding of trial balance behavior
- Strong understanding of reconciliations
- Strong understanding of source-to-report traceability
- Ability to analyze posting logic
- Ability to analyze account mappings
- Ability to analyze transaction flows
- Ability to analyze interface outputs
- Ability to identify root causes of accounting discrepancies
- Familiarity with federal reporting and compliance concepts
