Job Summary
Provide quality leadership and supervision in cheerleading and motor skill classes while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members. Visually inspect participation spaces for safety and demonstrate basic technique and form. Communicate effectively with preschool to middle school-aged children and maintain current certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and New Employee Orientation. This role requires a minimum of 16 years of age and previous experience in cheerleading or teaching is preferred. The position offers flexible hours, free membership, and 20 hours per week of free child care.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 16 years of age
- Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form
- Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school aged children
- Visually inspect participation space for safety
- Maintain current certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in cheerleading or teaching
