Job Summary
Deliver differentiated, evidence-based interventions in foundational literacy and early math to individual students and small groups (pull-out and push-in models); serve as a Tier 3 case manager developing individualized intervention plans and monitoring growth in academics and behavior; support Read to Achieve legislation and 3rd/4th Grade transitions; collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate progress monitoring and assessments (e.g., mClass); build assessment systems aligned to curriculum priorities; ensure resources align to support coherence; lead district professional development for content areas; monitor academic and behavior goals using data and inputs from teachers and families; facilitate parent conferences and ongoing communication; partner with teachers and specialists to integrate supports into core instruction; participate in MTSS and PLC meetings to plan next steps; collaborate with administration on schoolwide initiatives; build strong relationships with students to enhance engagement and resilience across academics and behavior;
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Teaching License
- Experience in K–2 settings
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom and/or intervention experience at the primary level
- Demonstrated ability to improve academic outcomes and support social-emotional growth in early learners
- Knowledge of the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices
- Experience with early math instruction and/or interventions
- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks, data-based decision making, and progress monitoring in academic and behavioral areas
