Job Summary
JOM/Title VI Teacher Assistant at Southside Elementary School assists Native American/Alaskan students under the supervision of a certified teacher. Responsibilities include tutoring language arts and math under supervision, conducting informal grade checks every five weeks, making attendance calls to parents, coordinating with the Director of Indian Education and/or school counselor, maintaining an active list of Native American/Alaskan students, ensuring 506 forms and Citizenship cards are on file, cross-checking sibling forms, submitting quarterly Staff Reports, and performing other duties to support Native American/Alaskan students as described by the building principal or district administration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Paraprofessional Certification may be REQUIRED (Coweta Public Schools can help hired applicant obtain this certification)
