Job Summary
Conduct detailed engineering staking and construction management inspections for fiber-to-the-home projects using tablet/GPS units and ArcGIS. Perform on-site observation of fiber optic cable placement, verify conformance with specifications, and resolve onsite conflicts through technical support and contractor coordination. Interpret as-staked information, document units via GPS coordinates, and interface with client representatives to ensure project schedule compliance. Submit daily timesheets, expense reports, and mileage documentation while maintaining responsive communication with minimal additional context.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in outside construction industry, military communications, utility, locating services, or related industry
- Must be able to understand the use of ArcGIS on-line and be able to review project maps and determine project scope and responsibilities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- A valid motor vehicle driver's license in good standing
- No DWI/DUI convictions
- Must be able to walk an average of three miles per day
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to get in and out of a vehicle
