Job Summary

Joint Logistics Planner responsible for integrating logistics and sustainment into joint operational planning, reviewing plans to ensure adequate logistics support, and contributing to joint force development activities related to logistics for military operations. Tasks include enabling CJCS 10 USC responsibilities, developing strategic concepts for contested logistics, improving government planning for logistics capabilities, operating within the Joint Planning Process, and conducting analysis and research to enhance logistics planning and execution across CCMDs and services. Requires advanced education (doctorate or master's with substantial experience) and active TS/SCI clearance; strong writing, analytical, and joint-planning experience; familiarity with joint concepts, doctrine, and logistics execution. Onsite/Hybrid/Remote work schedules subject to contract requirements, located in the Washington, DC area.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Doctorate degree from an accredited university or college; or Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience; or No degree with at least 10 years warfighting operational experience.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI
  • Experience drafting and reviewing operational, warning, execute, and fragmentary orders, logistics-related strategic guidance or similar products
  • Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Task Force (JTF), or Service component command experience in planning or managing logistics or sustainment support to military forces in overseas military operations or joint exercises, experience in military operations planning in a joint or Service component environment to shape, develop, and review operational plans, annexes, and appendices that integrate logistics capabilities.
  • Knowledge of planning factors and methods that anticipate logistics or sustainment support requirements to prompt planners
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations, including application of analytical and simulation models.
  • Experience with execution tools that enable and support CCMD/JTF headquarters logistics capability
  • Familiar with logistics concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures to deploying personnel
  • Ability to write concisely, express thoughts clearly, and developing ideas in logical sequence
