Job Summary
Plan, establish, and manage Joint Tactical Data Link (TDL) and Multi-TDL Architecture (MTA) networks for theater-level command and control operations. Coordinate with Joint, Service, coalition, and partner nation stakeholders to resolve interface conflicts and optimize tactical data link performance. Develop requirements, Information Exchange Requirements, and Interface Control Plans while providing technical expertise on Link-16, Link-22, and other tactical systems. Monitor network performance to identify interoperability issues and advise senior leaders on architecture and cryptographic modernization to support multi-domain operations. This role supports the SCOPES Program at USSOUTHCOM within the Joint Task Force–Western Hemisphere, requiring TS/SCI clearance and up to 25% local travel.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- 8+ years of experience serving as a mid-level or senior staff officer supporting Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, Service Component Headquarters, or equivalent operational headquarters with Tactical Data Links (TDLs) and theater-level command and control architectures
- Demonstrated expertise in Multi-TDL Architecture (MTA), Link-16, Link 22, Mode 5 IFF, MADL, TTNT, C2BMC, GCCS, JRE, ADSI, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), and related tactical data link systems
- Experience developing TDL architectures, Information Exchange Requirements (IERs), interface control documentation, and joint or coalition interoperability solutions
Desired Qualifications
- JID-TC Joint Interface Control Officer certifications (JT-101, JT-102, JT-201)
- Joint Domain Network (JDN) training or certifications (JDN-102, JDN-201)
- Experience supporting multinational operations, joint exercises, and theater-level command and control integration within a Combatant Command environment
