Job Summary
To carry out specialist timber treatments and provide all aspects of internal and external joinery for domestic and non-domestic properties, including major projects and new builds. Work involves maintenance tasks such as fitting replacement windows/doors, manufacturing bespoke windows and doors in a joinery workshop, and performing remedial/maintenance work across diverse buildings (housing stock, care homes, offices, schools, and other facilities). Collaborate with electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless progression of works, and undertake large-scale works related to building alterations/ refurbishments. Requires a time-served joiner with City & Guild certificate and SVQ level 3 or equivalent, plus knowledge of timber treatment practices; PPE/RPE compliance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Time-served joiner as recognised by industry board
- City & Guild certificate in required trade and/or equivalent SVQ level 3 attainments
- Equivalent certification of completion of Apprentice in required trade
- Sound knowledge and experience of specialist timber treatment practices
