Job Summary
Evaluate children with suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect in inpatient and outpatient settings, including community locations. Conduct forensic interviews and provide follow-up care for children in the foster care system through the ARCH clinic. Rotate seeing patients via inpatient consults and outpatient medical exams in a pediatric-friendly clinic space. Communicate with professionals across multiple jurisdictions while teaching trainees, medical staff, and community partners. Administrative and research responsibilities are desired. This academic appointment joins eight other faculty members in a nationally accredited child advocacy center serving a 23-county region.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician
- Pediatrician
- Communication with a variety of professionals in multiple jurisdictions
- Evaluation of children with suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Teaching an array of learners, including trainees, medical staff, and community partners
