Job Summary
Staff Physician (Neurologist) at VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System provides comprehensive neurological patient care across ambulatory settings, participates in patient/family education, and may participate in clinical research. Responsibilities include patient care, medical student/resident education, supervision of other providers, and time allocated for performance improvement activities and ongoing state-of-the-art neurology practice. May involve collaboration with Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) for loan repayment; incentives may be authorized for highly qualified individuals. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any US State or territory
- Board certification in Neurology or eligible for board certification
- Eligibility for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) participation
- Ability to obtain/maintain credentialing and privileges at VA
- Experience in patient care, education of medical students/residents, and potential involvement in clinical research
