Job Summary
Take guest orders and serve food and beverages using established Hotel standards while engaging with colleagues using D.A.R.E. to Connect behaviors. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, checking identification for guests under 40 and notifying management of incidents involving excessive consumption or impaired conditions. Clean and maintain workspace, including tables, walls, windows, floors, and in-room dining carts, while performing pre- and post-shift duties. Complete all IHG and Hotel training and follow safety protocols, reporting any service incidents immediately. Work a typical shift from 6a-2p with the ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at the minimum age to serve alcohol in line with any local legislative requirements
- Ability to comply with local laws regarding food handling or serving of alcohol, including the ability to take and pass the ServSafe Alcohol Safety class and exam
- Must be able to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to maneuver carts or equipment weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
- Must be able to maneuver between tables and in tight spaces
- Must be able to position self to fulfill cleaning tasks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required
Desired Qualifications
- A high school or equivalent education is preferred
- Minimum of six months of prior food service experience is preferred
