Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including transferring, bathing, dressing, shaving, and preparing meals according to instructions. Perform housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms. Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments, provide dementia care, and assist with prescribed range of motion exercises. Offer companionship through reading, music, and puzzles. Shifts run day, night, and every day of the week. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a high school diploma or G.E.D. Preference is given to those with a CNA license, Home Health Aide certification, or one year of caregiving experience. Located in Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, and Soquel areas.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
- Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
- Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Pass a background check
- Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
