Job Summary
Conduct new equipment field demonstrations, maintain sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory, and develop customer-specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis. Monitor trends in customer business activities, provide timely communication to management, and evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes. Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and financing options to assist customers with securing purchases. Implement strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory, conducting market research to produce competitive comparisons, and attending applicable sales training events. Requires at least three years of outside sales experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel across the sales territory. Competitive pay based on experience with medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits.
Required Qualifications
- at least 3 years prior outside sales experience
- Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment
- Self-driven to actively prospect, cultivate and close new business opportunities using effective questioning skills to tailor solution benefits to meet prospect needs
- Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills
- Relates well to all kinds of people and easily builds trusting relationships
- Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic
- Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow business relationships
- Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous sales knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and outdoor power equipment strongly preferred
