Job Title: Specialist Planning & Cost Engineer – Offshore Water Injection Project

Job Summary
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, establishing Work Breakdown Structures and baselines for engineering, procurement, construction, and offshore installation phases. Control project costs by managing budgets, forecasts, and variances, while monitoring commitments, expenditures, and change orders. Measure progress through earned value analysis and generate weekly reports, KPI dashboards, and milestone performance summaries for stakeholders. Coordinate schedule and cost interfaces across engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams, and lead risk assessments to develop mitigation and recovery plans. Support management decision-making with accurate project controls insights during all project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
- Minimum 15-18 years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil & gas industry
- At least 5 years of experience supporting offshore projects, offshore water injection projects, brownfield modifications, offshore platforms, subsea systems, or EPC projects
- Strong background in project controls across engineering, procurement, construction, offshore installation, and commissioning phases
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Cost engineering and forecasting expertise
- Experience with project control systems and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Ecosys, or equivalent)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
- Knowledge of offshore construction and installation activities
- Understanding of contract management, claims, and variation control
- Based in UAE (Abu Dhabi) in Office + Offshore Site role on 6 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, PSP (AACE), or CCP
- Primavera P6 certification
- Experience with major international oil & gas operators and EPC contractors
