Job Summary
The program offers various opportunities: job shadowing, internships, and volunteer roles within Sanilac County Community Mental Health Authority. Externship participants must complete a confidentiality training and sign a statement, while interns must provide a resume and insurance details. Internships can be unpaid, and stipends are available through MDHHS for qualified candidates. Volunteers must be trained by assigned supervisors and can receive reimbursement for certain expenses. Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Must meet with Recipient Rights Officer prior to event
- Must sign Agency Confidentiality Statement
- Under 18 must have parent co-sign confidentiality statement
- Criminal background cleared by HR prior to starting if applying for an internship
Additional Requirements
- Externs are not employees and do not receive compensation
- Interns and externs do not have guaranteed future employment
- Volunteers cannot be used for any position paid by the Agency
- Volunteers must also be at least 16 years old
