JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Provide total patient care on the assigned nursing unit under supervision of the charge nurse/director of nursing. Maintain professional patient care functions, administer medications and treatments, and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Supervise and collaborate with RNPs, LPNs, CNAs, and ward clerks; coordinate discharge planning and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Maintain up-to-date nursing knowledge, attend in-services and meetings, and keep current on CPR. ACLS and PALS preferred. Perform rounds, transcribe orders, and report unusual happenings to the nursing leadership. Requires ability to lift over 25 lbs and proficiency with Cerner (CareCompass) EMR; maintain compliance with policies and demonstrate professional conduct and teamwork.
