Job Summary
Job Placement Coach in Westchester County, NY focused on delivering a workforce pathway through the WPBSI program. Responsibilities include career coaching, resume and interview support, assisting with vocational training enrollment, benefits navigation, workshops on job readiness and professionalism, participant retention and follow-up coaching, outreach and community partnerships, data tracking and reporting, and assisting clients with SNAP/Medicaid work-related requirements. Requires collaboration with internal teams, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 2 years of related experience; ability to travel to satellite sites and occasional evening hours. Weston/Westchester nonprofit environment emphasizing workforce development, job placement, and structured volunteer activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work psychology or related field
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Minimum 2 years of experience in workforce development, career coaching, case management, employment services, or related social service settings
- Knowledge of workforce systems, employment resources, and barriers impacting low-income populations
- Experience working with individuals receiving SNAP and Medicaid benefits
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, including collaboration with community partners and stakeholders
- Experience with data collection, documentation, reporting, and tracking participant progress
- Ability to work effectively with diverse and underserved populations in a culturally responsive manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with community resources and referral networks
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to satellite sites, community events, and presentations
- Ability to work evening hours, as needed
