Job Summary
12-month Operations Management Program to develop future operational leaders through formal training and immersive field exposure in Schindler’s elevator/escalator service, maintenance, and installation. Participants gain practical field experience while working withArea, Territory, and local leadership, including a dedicated mentor. The program comprises three phases: orientation with in-person kickoff in Morristown, NJ; technical field immersion with hands-on service/installation work; and supervision, quality, and compliance with exposure to auditing, safety, code compliance, and limited workforce management. Relocation to select locations is possible after graduation if a permanent Field Superintendent role isn’t available. Core focus areas include safety, product knowledge, resource planning, leadership, technician development, and financial acumen. Upon graduation, opportunities may be placed in local, territorial, or national vacancies; there is a strong emphasis on leadership development, safety, diversity, and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or other relevant field of study preferred
- Candidates MUST be open to relocation (company-assisted) to select cities upon completion of the program
- Previous military or other leadership experience is highly desirable
- Prior work experience or internships in construction, service/maintenance or related industry a plus
- Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills
- Affinity for understanding technical/mechanical systems
