Job Summary
Customs Classification Specialist responsible for daily management of classifications using the World Customs Organization Harmonized schedule for ingredients, raw materials, compounds, and manufacturing products; support classification issues; maintain classification systems and data; respond to HS classification inquiries; collaborate with Global classification team to harmonize classifications; requires a university degree in chemistry or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience; SAP and SAP-GTS experience; English mandatory with Spanish a plus; roles based in NJ (Mt. Olive) or Cincinnati with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in chemistry or similar background such as food engineering or chemical engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in flavor, fragrance, food, chemical or related industry, Customs authorities, Customs brokers and Consulting companies
- Knowledge of customs and import / export regulations
- SAP and SAP-GTS experience
- English is mandatory
- Spanish a plus
