Job Summary
Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance and optimization of automation and control systems to ensure production lines, utilities, and facility equipment reliability. Manage automation activities including Delta V, PLC, SCADA, and DCS maintenance and programming, while developing predictive maintenance plans to minimize downtime. Lead control system upgrades, troubleshoot automation-related issues in production and safety systems, and coach maintenance technicians on automation technologies. Monitor system performance data to identify improvement areas, manage contractor performance, and ensure compliance with EHS and cybersecurity rules. Provide technical advice to managers on automation implications for new projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechatronic, Automation, or Control Engineering (or related discipline)
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process industries, preferably in automation and control systems (Delta V)
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in coordinating technical teams or external contractors
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and process control principles
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and control systems
- Good understanding of EHS and cybersecurity guidelines for industrial automation
- Knowledge in MS Office, SAP, and engineering software tools (e.g., TIA Portal, RSLogix, WinCC)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Industrial Automation or Control Systems preferred
